Kristofor Figueiredo

I turn commercial and operational data into practical decisions — across sourcing, supply chain, performance analytics, and applied machine learning.

Currently on Kroger's technology sourcing team in Cincinnati, after study and work spanning the United States and Australia.

About

Analytics grounded in how sourcing, supply chains, and operating teams actually make decisions.

I'm a Sourcing Category Management Analyst at Kroger with a background in business analytics, strategic sourcing, supply chain management, and data-driven decision-making. I'm a proud alum of the University of Miami Herbert Business School, where I earned my Master of Science in Business Analytics, and of West Virginia University, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Supply Chain Management with a minor in Finance.

At Kroger, I lead a competitive RFP across eight contract-management software vendors and analyze multimillion-dollar technology spend for store-flow analytics and camera solutions. I combine Coupa and ServiceNow data with supplier scorecards, total-cost-of-ownership analysis, and task-specific Microsoft Copilot agents to support sourcing decisions across IT and business teams.

My experience spans analytics, sourcing, operations, and business performance across both corporate and athletic environments. As a Data Analytics Intern with the University of Miami Hurricanes Baseball program, I translated player and performance data into actionable insights that supported evaluation and decision-making. I also served as an Athletic Tutor and Mentor, helping student-athletes succeed in quantitative and business-focused coursework.

Previously, I completed internships with Woolworths Group and Employers Mutual Limited (EML), where I worked across operational analysis, reporting, payroll, compliance, and business support functions. These experiences strengthened my analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to communicate insights to diverse stakeholders in fast-paced environments.

I am passionate about leveraging analytics, technology, and strategic problem-solving to improve business operations, optimise sourcing strategies, and deliver measurable business value.

IT Asset Lifecycle & Risk

City National Bank of FloridaCapstone partner
Problem
A bank needed a defensible view of lifecycle and end-of-life risk across roughly 4,200 IT hardware assets in ServiceNow.
Contribution
Contributed to a cross-functional KPI audit, modeled lifecycle and end-of-life fields to flag at-risk units and legacy dependencies, and helped standardize executive risk reporting.
Outcome
Four interactive Power BI report pages powered by 19 custom DAX measures — delivered in pure DAX and CSS to meet a no-JavaScript security constraint.

Inventory Planning & Safety Stock

Problem
A 27-product beverage portfolio was carrying stockout risk with no consistent SKU-level buffer policy.
Contribution
Led a seven-person remote team, with a Columbus site visit, building ABC segmentation, service-level targets of 85–95%, and safety-stock and reorder logic backed by bootstrap and Monte Carlo resampling.
Outcome
Backtesting indicated roughly 80% of prior stockouts on key items could have been prevented while improving return on inventory investment by more than 20%, with a reusable process map for the client team.

Internet Service Churn

Problem
Churn directly erodes recurring revenue for internet service providers — acquiring a new customer costs more than retaining one, and the business needed to know which customers to save first.
Approach
A gradient-boosting classification workflow across 1,215 customers with engineered tenure features, imputation, one-hot encoding, stratified validation, ROC analysis, and operating-threshold sensitivity.
Outcome
A validated model (reported AUC 0.796) identifying monthly contracts, autopay enrollment, tenure, service calls, and monthly charges as the drivers a retention strategy should target.
